So, I finished the introductory quest (Bwemba’s Spirit). But I still don’t seem to be able to queue for the Rise of the Zandalari heroics, which makes it kind of difficult to complete this quest. Did I miss something? I’m pretty sure I have a good enough ilvl, but when I look in my list of things to queue for it’s not even there.Комментарий от lithae
This whole thing is confusing. I’m in Zul’Gurub, trying to solo this stuff, and I’m standing right on top of Jin’do, but he’s completely see-through and I can’t even interact with him let alone kill him. Tried killing the guys on each corner of the temple, still nothing. Do I have to kill all the other guys in the whole instance or something before he’ll phase in? That’s pretty lame if it’s the case.Комментарий от Heimdallen
I know this is an older quest now, but it’s the kind of quest that has been rattling around in my log taking up space for over a year and I finally decided to do it. Based on many people I know in the same situation, not having ever finished this quest past this point, and the fact that I found almost no information on how to complete it, I decided I’d fill everyone in after figuring it all out myself in order to save you some time and effort. For those of you who haven’t been in ZG since it was changed from a 10 man raid to a 5 man heroic (like myself up until I did this quest), it’s a lot different in some places and very similar in others. So first the big question: I did manage to solo this on my Ret Pally, avg. ilvl 500 exactly. However, I wasn’t able to solo it on my MM Hunter, avg. ilvl 496, or my Fury Warrior, avg. ilvl 480. I don’t think it was the small difference in gear so much as my Pally’s ability to heal himself while putting out good dps and being able to mitigate a good deal of damage. I don’t know what to tell you about other classes as I’ve not tried with any others. You might want to two-man this.
OK, so you need to get the quest item, the Zul’Gurub Stone, from the last boss in ZG, Jin’Do the Godbreaker. To kill him, you do not need to finish all the sub-bosses first. You only have to kill the two High Priests, Priest Venoxis, and Priestess Kilnara. This allows you to go directly to Jin’Do the Godbreaker for your quest item, without having to kill any of the other bosses.
So, when you first enter the instance, the first boss used to be the Bat-Boss, but she is no more. Instead you move straight across the first two bridges heading east to your first encounter at «The Coil» with High Priest Venoxis. The fight is similar to the original and not terribly difficult at 90. After that, you move back west across the bridge you just came across, and move north across the next two bridges to arrive just southwest of the Temple of Bethekk. Dino mobs to the left, Troll mobs to the right, you can carefully thread the needle and aggro neither and walk up the steps to Kilnara’s Lair. Trash mobs inside, not many, until you get downstairs and see Kilnara, where you move inside the room and engage her to have the door slam shut and fight ’till the death. It’s basically the same as old ZG, at about 50% she transforms and summons a million panther beasts to help chew on your face, burst her down at this point as all those adds do a lot of damage.
Once your done with her, you move back south across one bridge to the center island with Jin’Do, and travel up to the top in the rear just like in the old ZG. I engaged the boss, and had no problem with it being a traditional tank n’ spank until at some low point, maybe 40%-ish? Jin’Do became immune to attacks at the back of the platform, and all of the spirit ghost type mobs that didn’t interact with you before now suddenly attack you and more spawn constantly.
Jin’Do is now chained to the deck at 3 or 4 points, and these chains are immune to all attacks. What you need to do is, much like in the original ZG, go down the stairs to the left or right and grab a Gurubashi Spirit, the really big guys standing 1 per corner on the staircase platform around the place, they look like berserkers, and drag one to the top to a chain tie down point, where it’s targetable. Stand on it while gently dpsing the Spirit, as the goal here is to have him cast body slam on you while you’re standing on the chain end (You don’t want to kill him before he body slams). This will break the chain’s defenses, and allow you to damage it and ultimately kill it. Once the Spirit has slammed you and the chain, quickly kill it and that chain. Kill off the group of ghosts that have started to mob you so you don’t get behind and bogged down, and then rinse, repeat, until all the chains are gone.
Once you’ve done this, the fight’s over. Jin’Do does not return to the mortal plane for a final phase, he just does some cinematic and dies, becoming Jin’Do the Broken. The stone to complete your quest will be on his body as loot, one for each member of your party on the quest, if there’s more than one of you in your case of course.
Like I said, I did this with a bit of difficulty solo as a Ret Paladin with ilvl 500 gear, more because it was a learning curve and took me a few tries to figure out how to kill Jin’Do with the chain thing. I think a Blood Knight or a Feral Druid or even a Warrior might be able to do this with relative ease solo as well, also with minimum gear around 500-ish.

For those of you who still have this quest in your quest log for a long time like me, just go do it. I’ve had it on my Death knight for a long time and just decided to go do it. MY Dk not even being itl 600 yet he was able to kill everything pretty easily. I also read that yes you only need to kill the two bosses next to him in order to get to the main boss, Jin’Do. The only thing you have to worry about is his second phase, when he sends spirits after you and there seems to be chains which you can’t attack yet because they’re surrounded by a shield which is only breakable by a slam. You have to go down the steps and lead up those big Gurubashi mobs and you have to stand near the shields and they will slam you there allowing you to attack the chains and defeat Jin’do!Комментарий от Cissy44
So, like many of you, I’ve had this quest just hanging around forever and decided to just go do it. I’m now a lvl 98 and thought I could just solo it…WRONG! It won’t even let me enter the instance because it is only available as a Heroic Difficulty level 85 dungeon. So don’t let it go too long or you’ll lose the chance to finish it. I’ve still got it in my log so if anyone can tell me a way I CAN finish I’d sure welcome the input.Комментарий от Comocosono

If you’re a high leveled char going back to do this quest for fun and are having trouble with the chains on the last boss, make sure to actually kill at least one of the big trolls on the four platforms around the area BEFORE you start the fight. That way their spirits are in the nether realm and so you can use them to destroy the chains. You can use the same one, just kite it around and make sure not to hit it and one shot it. If you don’t do this, you can’t kill the boss and if you don’t have any boss reset mechanics (feign death, shadowmeld etc), you’ll be stood around for a looooong time!ru.wowhead.com

I’m a lvl 86 so it can’t be that I’m not a high enough lvl to enter… do you have to be a member of a group for the instance to properly activate maybe!
Any help? I’m really confused =(
EDIT —
I have tried since my original post to do this quest (I’m now a lvl 89), but each time I try to enter the instance portal I get ‘this instance is a lvl 85 Honor area’ message. I’m assuming that you need to have an honor level of 85 or more to enter the area and do the quest… or am I wrong!
Any help with this would be most appreciated.

Just solo’d this to complete the quest on a level 90 ilvl 525 Combat Rogue.Killing the Priest and Priestess (the only bosses you need to down before getting to Jin’do) are quite easy with your abilities.
I had a little trouble with Jin’do (the boss you need for the quest item), cus I suck. I’m used to being able to burn things down before they can do me much real damage, and simply popping Evasion if things look like they hurt. Of course, you can’t really do this here.. but it is possible to solo (even if you’re not the most skilled, which I am not either!), I would imagine even possible with a lower ilvl. I’ll write what I did for any other rogues having trouble with this.
Deadly Poison, Leeching Poison.
In P1, just DPS the guy. Build your combo points to 5, but don’t use them yet. You wont get too hurt during this. When he starts to run away, use your 5 combo points to Recuperate, and quickly position yourself within throwing distant of one of the big Gurubashi Spirits you need to pull for P2.
For P2, pop your Blade Flurry and leave it on for the whole thing.
Now in P2, use your Throw on a Gurubashi Spirit to pull it up. At this point, make sure not to panic and start running around (like I tend to do..). Go stand near a chain. If you see Jin’do the Godbreaker target a spirit bolt on you (puff of circular cloud at your feet), move slightly out of the way of it, but still near the chain. I found it was best to just rotate around the four ‘corners’ of the circle of the chain protection.
While waiting for the Gurubashi Spirit to cast the body slam you need to break the chain protection, you need to leave him alone. No DPS on him. Instead, run around your chain avoiding the spirit bolts, and extremely importantly, kill the smaller Twisted Spirits while waiting. If anything will kill you in this fight, it’s these.. they hit hard.
It can be a bit confusing if you lack focus (again, like me) so use a macro to help you kill the smaller Twisted Spirit mobs.
/target Twisted Spirit
/cast Sinister Strike
Bind it to a key.
Keep calm. Ignore the big Gurubashi Spirit, move around to avoid the clouds at your feet, and kill Twisted Spirits with the macro. Do this for every chain, until the Gurbashi Spirit casts Body Slam on you, and breaks the chains protection (it wont work unless you are near the chain). Once the chain is free from it’s protection, you obviously kill it and the big Gurubashi Spirit.
Once the first chain protection is broken, use Killing Spree. With Blade Flurry up, you should get the big Gurubashi Spirit down and any little Twisted Spirits while also doing damage to the chain. Finish of the chain when your Killing Spree is over. There will be a big purple debuff on the ground from the Body Slam. Either avoid it or eat it if you have no choice, the chain should be down quick enough.
Move to next Gurubashi Spirit for your next chain (while running across the platform, always use your macro to kill any little Twisted Spirits that close in on you).
Pull next big Gurubashi Spirit. Repeat what you did for chain 1 (spam /target Twisted Spirit macro, run around the chain close to it and avoid Spirit Bolt clouds). When chain 2 protection is down due to the body slam, this time pop Adrenaline Rush and focus solely on the chain to build 5 combo points quickly. Use these combo points to put your Recuperate up again. Kill the chain, the adds should be down from your Blade Flurry by the time it’s dead.
Pull next Gurubashi Spirit for the final chain. Remember to keep killing the little Twisted Spirits with macro, move in circle avoid bolts, etc. For the last chain when it’s protection was down, I used my Killing Spree again (with Blade Flurry still up). If your Killing Spree isn’t up again yet (I have CD trinket), kill it however you like — you should be home free at this point!
Remember to use your Evasion and Cloak of Shadows (glyphed is good) in times of worry. Use a potion if you get low, but with the above tactic I didn’t need to.
He’ll die once the third chain is down.
Hope this helps any Combat Rogues out there! Obviously other specs/classes can substitute their own applicable spells for the Combat Rogue abilities I mentioned, and hopefully you’ll be good to go!

The chest is inside the statue, kinda on the back, you have to fly up to it.Комментарий от Zerim
The quest turn-in chest is inside the torso cavity of the statue on the island next to Booty Bay; fly in the arm hole. You receive all of the listed items when you turn in the quest.
All but the Black Ice can be sent to a bank alt to wear (or sold on the AH, etc.), as the Black Ice is a BOP ring.. but it vendors for 100g if you’re not a RPer.
The crown and bracelets are both actually visible without inspection. The Golden Necklace, being sold for just 10.37g AND being invisible without inspection, is probably worth the least to most people.
By quick math, the quest rewards 165g 58s and 87c in items (if you sell it all). The 9g 40s from the quest itself brings the total to 174g 98s 87, or roughly 175g.
EDIT: Oh, yes, the Black Ice IS visible.. Just not in the model viewer/dressing room.

zg quest felt tacked on, they all just gave gold as rewards, would have liked to get an item for finishing zg and not just vednor stuff.Комментарий от Fordprefect
One of the places you can teleport (with error) using Последняя реликвия Аргуса is inside this statue. I’d seen the chests in there before, but didn’t know that they would ever be used. After completing this quest, I teleported… and ended up on some island off of the Barrens. Fortunately it’s a quick boat ride away!Комментарий от warlar
I am not too excited about just gold rewards from the quests. I am happy though that through ZG I made about 300gКомментарий от Asclepius99
^^ subtract 150g for repairs. lol. It’ll get easier thoughКомментарий от justwowstuff
Glad that I can send 3 of these to my bank alt for fashion! <3Комментарий от macbastard
FYI: Grom’gol Base Camp remains under attack by trolls until this quest is turned in.Комментарий от Kognar
Not true for me. Grom’gol is still getting attacked by trolls.Комментарий от Stricker
but it vendors for 100g if you’re not a RPer
How much does it vendor for if you are a roleplayer?
Комментарий от germonuin
The point is that if you were an RPer then you probably wouldn’t vendor it in the first place.Комментарий от CrypTecH
If you are an RPer (or more specifically on an RP server) chances are it Auctions for much higher than 100g. I’m willing to bet this is the reasoning for his choice of words.Комментарий от Lythiaren
Except that it’s BoP and therefore can’t be auctioned. -_-Комментарий от daerelas
Just to be clear about handing the quest in, you get ALL the quest reward items not just one.Комментарий от Chaosrock
Except that it’s BoP and therefore can’t be auctioned. -_-
Notice he said «vendored».

Sucks that you can’t give it to your bank alt, since it requires you be level 85 and it’s soul bound…. : (Комментарий от MABGamer6407
This Statue Was once whole before Catta, Now Its banged up and has seaweed and Even Poles preventing it from toppling. I don’t know Who the statues Based of but i think You see a few Smaller 1s like this that aren’t Battered. I seen a pose like This but of a Human, As well as a undead 1 with skulls as well. This is the only 1 that can be Used as a room. Very Clever i say. Goblins, Thats all i gota say of em heh.Back to The quest tho, gives you a few Items for bank alts as well as a ring 1 of few that can actually be seen at times in game. Each item is quite profitable, an any bank toon will want them. looks nice with a Tux and Cane. Will send another pic my guy with em on. I gota say tho. only 9g 40s out of that whole room? That is also a goblin rip off….lol. then again..the goods are quite sellable.

It is a scarcely-known fact that the destruction of Janeiro’s Point was NOT, in fact, brought about by the Cataclysm.Following is the retelling of the disturbing true events that devastated Booty Bay;

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that there’s a ton of gold sitting around the chest and you cant take any of it and its just gonna sit there?Комментарий от Moetwarr
The item Black Ice appears to become a Toy in the new expansion World of Warcraft: Legion. You might want to hang on to it 🙂Комментарий от Goldschakal
Since Черный лед is a Toy in Legion, here’s a quick guide for it:Simply enter Zul Gurub on Heroic Mode and right at the entrance Инспектор Бадабум will offer the prequestИнтересы Пиратской Бухты. For the quest you have to kill 2 Bosses in Zul Gurub and Джин’до Низвергатель Богов himself. Since you cant kill Джин’до Низвергатель Богов directly, you have to kill one Воин-призрак из племени Гурубаши before you start the encounter. Upon reaching P2, pull one Воин-призрак из племени Гурубаши, move to a chain & let the Воин-призрак из племени Гурубаши jump on you. Repeat it 2 more times and Jindo is defeated.
Loot the quest item, complete the quest at Инспектор Бадабум and fly to Janeiro’s Point near Booty Bay.

This will be part of the questline for the updated Zu’Gurub dungeon. It provides you with various bling for your bank alt.Комментарий от Zerim
EDIT: And the Black Ice IS visible, just not from the dressing room.

The ring awarded from this quest is in fact visible, but it cannot be previewed. The item pretty much gives an enchantment that is a big diamond on your finger.Комментарий от sicariusdracus

This quest reward is to attempt to compensate for the group failing at Jindo’s mechanics…resulting in wipes and repair bills. Not a daily or repeatable so bring good people next time!Комментарий от Obolon
The reward is about the worst, piece of junk, worthless, useless, reward ever, for what you have to go through to complete this quest line. What an anti-climactic finish. Bah-Humbug!Комментарий от LafinJack
And the Black Ice IS visible, just not from the dressing room.
Yep, and also shines every couple of seconds.

So, being pretty self explanitory I didn’t wowhead this quest until after turn-in. I did, however, look up the rewards to try to simplify my choice… I spent about 10 minutes reading up on all the reward ‘options’ before I decided. When I alt+tabbed over to WoW to turn in, I clicked on my choice and quickly ‘/facepalm’d when I realized you receive ALL…. Just thought I’d share my n00b moment with anyone who wants a good /chuckleКомментарий от thegalaxygoddess
I vendored the ring and never knew I could use it to SEE! *weep hystericallyКомментарий от BrightBrown
Once you complete this last part, does the Gurubashi Arena daily re-appear? I’ve completed everything (I think) up to no longer being shadowed by Bwemba…Комментарий от tacololo
good loot but whatever I try I cannot see the bracelets.I`ll just keep the ring as a reminder of my troubled times in zul grub.
BTW I like zul grub and zul amman way better then the hot dungeons just for the looks and sounds.

I was happily surprised when i saw that you get rewarded everything i thought you had to choose one of the four rewards but you get all of them.Комментарий от Goddessa39
Love this quest. It’s very simple-and your reward is inside of the statue of the goblin at the edge of Booty Bay on Janiero Isle. You get all four items, while they do nothing special, they are worth 165 gold and then some silver and copper that we don’t count any longer. 🙂 I’ve been wondering if maybe, when u wear all of them, something happens. but no luck. While it is wearable, there is nothing overly noticeable or any extra studd stat for wearing them. So, enjoy a little extra gold.Комментарий от Goldschakal
